Originally this track was recorded as a test of some different ways of recording, specifically percussion. It was never meant to see the light of day, but enough people said they liked it for me to concede. I converted an old poem I wrote about that stage between getting off your phone at night and collapsing asleep into the spoken word style lyrics.

I see the ridges on the pads of my fingers
And wonder they they aren't filled in.
Have I not touched enough?
Have I not?

I see gentle waves in a garden of skin
And hope that they'll learn to roll.
Have I not touched enough?
Have I not?

I see channels for the wind to take hold
And it forever fades and lingers
Above and beyond
Free and disconnected.

Invisible paisley patterns appear and disappear in the breeze
The sleeping cat yawns and everything changes formlessly
The lull of disconnection filters through every pore
Leaving me breathless
Wistlessly at ease
Can I feel anymore?
Can I feel?

I see the ridges on the pads of my fingers
And wonder why they aren't filled in.
Have I not felt enough.
Have I not?

Barabajagal Dunedin, New Zealand

Barabajagal are a band who make music.

It's pretty ok stuff really.

It's rooted in psychedelia but incorporates so many genres that it doesn't really seem too definable. But it's ok with that.

Despite being a kiwi band the songwriter is actually rather English, so whenever he sings you'd be hard pressed to go "wow, those kiwis huh". Still, New Zealand-ish.

Pronounced Bah-Rabba-Jaggle.
