about

It's about falling in love with a commuter just because you don't know them.

lyrics

The bleary eyed beauty boards the train,
Takes her to Victoria again.
I brush past, smell her perfume,
Her nose holds some morning dew.

Gently folds her newspaper,
And tightens the band that holds her hair,
Never mind the Northern Line
I'll never find a girl so fine.

Frizzly strands of sandy hair
Falling blandly.
Hand in hand,
We will be free
To live quietly
In a cottage by the sea
Just you and me.

Clapham Junction dribbles past
Lifts her glasses as I wake up.
Bleary eyed beauty stay the same
And I will ride Victoria again.

Gently folds her newspaper,
And tightens the band that holds her hair,
Never mind
Never mind
Never mind
Never mind.

about

Barabajagal Dunedin, New Zealand

Barabajagal are a band who make music.

It's pretty ok stuff really.

It's rooted in psychedelia but incorporates so many genres that it doesn't really seem too definable. But it's ok with that.

Despite being a kiwi band the songwriter is actually rather English, so whenever he sings you'd be hard pressed to go "wow, those kiwis huh". Still, New Zealand-ish.

Pronounced Bah-Rabba-Jaggle.
